So, who’s behind The Make an Impact Membership?

I’m Heidi Fisher, aka the Social Enterprise Queen. I’m a multi-award winning social entrepreneur. I received an MBE in 2020 for Services to Innovation in Social Enterprise and Impact Measurement, and I’m also a social entrepreneur who has been there and done it, and got the t-shirt as well as a whole heap of learnings! I’ve set up and run five social enterprises myself, as well as being involved in the running of three more.

And there’s one thing I can definitely say is true – those experiences have shaped me. I’ve experienced the joys of securing funding, investment and making my first sale, as well as the rejections and failed products. I’ve had the stress of being commissioned by local authorities and the contract negotiations. I’ve sold part of my social enterprise. I’ve closed another down because it failed. I’ve recruited staff, made staff redundant and managed volunteers. I’ve made terrible pricing mistakes and juggled cash-flow issues, and more.

Everything that forms part of the journey of a social enterprise – good and bad – I’ve experienced it.

  1. Can I cancel my subscription? Yes, you can cancel anytime.  
  2. If I miss a live talk or Q&A session, can I catch up?  Yes, all Lives and Q&A sessions will be available within the Membership Group for viewing in your own time. 
  3. What platform will the Q&A sessions be delivered on? Do I need to subscribe to additional services?  The Q&A sessions will be delivered via our membership site using Zoom.  You do not need to subscribe to additional services to access the Zoom sessions. 
  4. When are the live Q&A sessions and masterclasses? You will find details of the Q&A and masterclass schedules in the membership community. 
  5. Where can I find the membership group and community? Members will be sent details of the Membership Group upon subscription.  The community is accessible to anyone and details will be sent once you sign up. 
  6. Can I use the Community to promote my social enterprise? Members will have the opportunity to promote any events, products or services they have at specific times. 
  7. I’m not sure of exactly what areas of my social enterprise are lacking. Can I ask for advice before entering the membership? Yes, you can.
  8. Are there any additional charges associated with the membership subscription? No, all the benefits identified above are included in the membership. 
  9. Are any materials accessible offline? There are worksheets and other guidance that can be downloaded or printed for your own use offline. 
  10. Is it compatible with phone processors, IOS and Android? Yes, you can access all the content on a phone or alternatively using a tablet, laptop or computer.
